UK's Dry Spring Weather Set To Break Records, Amid Concerns Over Potential Drought Conditions
LAMBERHURST, ENGLAND - MAY 15: In an aerial view, Bewl Water reservoir lies around 90% full on May 15, 2025 in Lamberhurst, United Kingdom. According to the Met Office, this year's spring in the UK is on track to rank as the driest in over a century, following weeks of persistent high-pressure systems that have ushered in dry, sunny conditions across much of the British Isles. Following a meeting of the National Drought Group last week, the Environment Agency has said there is a medium risk of drought this summer without sustained rainfall. While there are currently no hose pipe bans in place, authorities and water companies have issued warnings to the public to use water sparingly. (Footage by Carl Court/Getty Images)
