Richard Pryor says he was changed by his near-death experience
In a 1981 interview, Richard Pryor says: "The turning point was June 10. I woke up. And from there on it's just every day is great and I'm a happy man. I'm really happy. And I'm enjoying myself and my work, and others because of it. And I've never allowed myself to be happy, and I'm 40."
