Hurricane Ernesto Brings Heavy Rain and Flooding to St Thomas
Hurricane Ernesto brought heavy rainfall and flooding to the US Virgin Islands on Wednesday, August 14. Dashcam footage captured by Jennifer Royal shows flooded streets and debris throughout St Thomas on Wednesday. Floodwater can be seen rushing across hilly roads as vehicles attempt to pass through. Royal told Storyful that she was going to wait until Hurricane Ernesto subsided before she left for work but that the rain just wouldn't stop. "Ernesto had really started going around 11 pm the night before, but ended up continuing until late this morning," Royal said.
