Ukrainians line up in Kyiv to get "Snake Island Resistance" stamp

KYIV, UKRAINE - APRIL 18: Hundreds of Ukrainians lined up in the capital Kyiv for receiving a stamp that illustrated Ukrainian soldiers' resistance against the Russian navy. The stamp 'Snake Island Resistance' describes the Ukrainian soldiers who have been protecting the Snake Island against the Russian navy since the first days of Russia's attack on Ukraine. The residents in the city have been waiting in line for hours to get the "Snake Island Resistance" stamp, which has the picture of the "Moskva" battle cruiser belonging to the Russian Black Sea Fleet, which sank in the previous days. Vladimir Markov, who received the stamp from the post office in Kyiv, said: "We bought it for our friends abroad. They asked us to buy the stamp." Stating that he wants to buy the stamp as a souvenir, Bogdan Zakaharisevich said one million of the stamps were minted. At least 1,982 civilians have been killed and 2,651 injured in Ukraine so far in the war, according to UN estimates, with the true figure believed to be much higher. More than 4.8 million Ukrainians have fled to other countries, with over 7 million more internally displaced, said the UN refugee agency.(Footage by Yunus Emre Gunaydin /Anadolu Agency via Getty Images)
