Speaker Pelosi calls Chinese national security law over Hong Kong suppression of expression

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of California is asked by a reporter at a weekly press conference about Hong Kong and a proposal to grant refugee status to Hong Kong residents after protests over national security law passed by Beijing, Pelosi answering one concern with the law was whether it would start immediately, disallowing any expression or whether it was retroactive to include all protests for democratic freedoms in Hong Kong, she not knowing but the Chinese government did and would not share but she feared that the national security law as a suppression of any expression in Hong Kong was really sad.
