Speaker Johnson says he cannot worry about vacate threat which would be conscience vote

House Speaker Mike Johnson tells reporters moments after the Senate voted to dismiss impeachment articles against Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas that he had not asked any Democrat to get involved in the motion to vacate, as they have a job to do and will do it regardless of personal consequences, noting that if Marjorie Taylor Greene brings the motion that members vote their conscience, he reminded of what John Quincy Adams said about duty being one's own and the results being God's, which he finds to be very liberating.
