Congressman Reschenthaler calls omnibus last attempt by Democrats to spend on agenda
House Rules Committee Member Guy Reschenthaler says in procedural debate on the fiscal 2023 omnibus appropriation that despite the ongoing border crisis, and Democrats' eagerness to let title 42 expire, the package effectively reduces funding for border enforcement and fails to include tougher policies that would actually address the issue at the border, with no increase in funding for ICE enforcement and removal operations and there was no increase for Border Patrol agent hiring which was already grossly underfunded, so the men and women at the southern border that were stopping fentanyl from coming across the border, stopping terrorists, catching and apprehending terrorists at the southern border.
