Congressman McGovern floor remarks on second Trump impeachment

House Rules Committee Chairman James McGovern of Massachusetts says in debate on a second impeachment of President Donald Trump for high crimes and misdemeanors charging Trump with incitement of insurrection one week after a seditious trespass of the Capitol building interrupted the Electoral College certification to be clear that if Congress voted to impeach the president and sent it over to the Senate there is nothing to prevent the Senate from taking it up immediately, if Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell decided he wanted to proceed and to talk about unity nothing more could unify the country than a big bipartisan vote in favor of impeachment, every second the president remained in office he was a danger to the country in the world, McGovern having no idea was he was capable of doing whether to pardon terrorists or go to war.
