House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi of California opens a regular weekly press briefing, telling reporters that everyone prays for those affected by hurricanes Erma, Harvey and Maria, then moving through Puerto Rico. Pelosi says she called the briefing to discuss the worst attempt yet by Republicans to repeal and replace the affordable care act. Pelosi says if they want to do all of it they could use another budget reconciliation package. Pelosi says the bill hurts children, families, seniors, patients with pre-existing commission conditions and rural America, rushing a bill with scant information. Pelosi announces a day of action the next weekend against the bill, which could push over 30 million off of healthcare, whatever it is, it will be terrible.
