Congressman Bilirakis calls TICKET Act a pro-family bill by stabilizing performance ticket prices

House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing and Trade Chairman Gus Bilirakis of Florida says in floor debate on the Transparency In Charges for Key Events Ticketing Act or TICKET Act that it was great working with colleague Jan Schakowsky on bills that did good things for American consumers, characterized the legislation as a very pro-family bill that would help families budget for ball games and concerts, and mentioned that he wanted to convince artists such as Kid Rock and Tony Orlando, who were wonderful artists doing much for the country, particularly the military and veterans, to buy tickets and give them to deserving people who otherwise could not afford them. The bill later passed.
