Congresswoman Speier notes danger at Fort Hood apart from Vanessa Guillen incident
House Armed Services Subcommittee on Military Personnel Chairwoman Jackie Speier of California says at a hearing with members of Fort Hood Independent Review Committee that 2020 had been a difficult year for everyone with a raging pandemic and deep divisions and racial reckoning, but even more so for soldiers and families at Fort Hood who also faced the deadly pandemic and civil unrest, but also most live and work on the most dangerous military installation in the United States, repeating, 28 service members having died afforded that year, at least five of them including Specialist Vanessa Guillen and others under suspicious circumstances.
