Congresswoman Granger opposes fiscal 2023 omnibus for growth in federal spending
House Appropriations Committee Ranking Republican Kay Granger says in debate on the fiscal 2023 omnibus appropriation that the bill comes after nearly $3 trillion of spending was pushed through the Congress enacted completely outside of the normal process with many programs having received staggering increases, the record high spending a key driver of inflation, that the bill instead of reflecting the economic realities represents continued spending in areas that have already received large increases, excess spending on non defense programs in the bill just too much to gain her support.
