Homeless people in Brazil make living by recycling garbage
BRASILIA, BRAZIL - RECENT, MAY 2023: Homeless people continue their lives under difficult conditions by recycling garbage in Brazil's capital Brasilia.
Struggling with violence, racism, and disease, homeless people sort industrial, medical, and household waste at night to earn just $2 a day.
Many suffer from leptospirosis, a febrile acute illness transmitted from animals infected with the leptospira bacteria.(Footage by Fabio Teixeira /Anadolu Agency via Getty Images)
