Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly tells a House Appropriations subcommittee at a fiscal 2018 budget hearing that he may be waiting into dangerous territory, commenting on criticisms of Texas Congressman Henry Cuellar that he has said everything Cuellar said about the border, that he helped Mexico quietly develop a plan of capture and humane deportation along its southern border. Kelly says of a past remark that Congress shut up, is that based on experience as an experienced military officer, Congress can throw rocks and criticism is deserved, but Congress is never heard criticism of those in the military who put their lives on the line, that in that job, all he heard were Nazis, storm trooper tactics, prejudice against the foot soldiers that stand on the border and protected, asking to criticize him, trump policies, but recognize his men and women are doing the same kind of thing as military and and women, in a sense to give them a break. Cuellar responds quickly that no one has attacked them, that he has also been attacked, Chairman John Carter of Texas gaveling in him out.
