Herald Tribune Suzy Menkes comments on Princess Diana
INT MCU Herald Tribune's Suzy Menkes comments on Princess Diana's extraordinary presence stating that she was an icon in the world. She states, "Well you know I don't think Diana had a special place in the fashion world, I think she had a special place in the world. It was that she had such style and depth to her that she had such a luminous extraordinary presence. I don't think in terms of fashion that she really begin it, she was not really a leader in fashion, but she was somebody so mesmerizing that other women wanted to look like her. Those people are rare icons like Jacky Kennedy, like Marilyn Monroe the people that draw the camera eye and the fascination and love of the public." Princess Diana died in a car crash in the Pont de l'Alma road tunnel in Paris. Her boyfriend, Dodi Fayed and their driver, Henri Paul, security manager of the Hotel Ritz Paris also died in the car crash. Millions of people watched the princess's funeral.
