Q - Tell me why you wanted to take part in the film
DJ - Ken asked me and thought it was an exciting project and has directed him as Hamlet in renaissance / I never thought it would happen / where would we get the money?
Q - How did you fit it around your busy schedule?
DJ - With difficulty / Was playing Richard II at time in London and rehearsing Richard III / I would have to be back at the Phoenix by half 6 to be ready for the show at half 7 / I've not see the film yet but I'm sure it shows
Q - What did you think of Branagh's interpretation?
DJ - Can't answer that because I've not seen the film / Mine was a lonely part I had no scenes with anybody / So I didn't have a scene with Ken or get to see him act / His performance years ago showed great promise
Q - But did he direct you?
DJ - Yes he did, very well / he knew exactly what he wanted /
Q - How did he direct you? Did he give you ideas or ask you to produce yourself?
DJ - He gave me ideas / film acting is very instant / he was very good at invoking an atmosphere inside me
