Gigantic bike in Colombia sets records: 10 meters tall, 16 meters long
BOYACA, COLOMBIA - DEC. 25, 2023: A gigantic bike in Colombia broke the world records standing at 10 meters tall and spanning 16 meters in length.
Designed by the architect LuÃs Fernando Robles Martinez, the bicycle has been dedicated as a monument to the Colombian cyclists.
Crafted entirely from steel, it boasts a weight of approximately 20 tons.
Until about 10 days ago, the largest bicycle in the world was in the Mexican city of Zacapu, measuring 12 meters long and 7.5 meters high, with a weight of 7 tons.
"I really think it is a source of pride, a source of national inspiration, that the largest bicycle in the world is here in our beautiful department of Boyacá and in this beautiful municipality of Tinjacá," says a bicycle enthusiast Camilo Rodriguez.
Visitors can also enjoy the scenery from the hill where the bike is positioned.
