Freshman Texas Congressman Pat Fallon says in first floor speech debating a resolution calling on Vice President Mike Pence to use a mechanism under the 25th Amendment to the Constitution to remove President Donald Trump from office that he was at a loss and disbelief the very first time he had the honor and privilege to address the august chamber was to talk about removing the president of the United States who held a permitted legal and peaceful rally, nothing but a wasteful political grandstanding but to make no mistake, January 6 a dark day in the esteemed nation's history, asserting a mob breached the sacred Capitol and Donald Trump did not, a mom destroyed property vandalized historic treasures on Capitol grounds but Trump did not, a mob committed despicable and evil acts of violence against fellow Americans but Trump did not, Trump in fact demanded peaceful dissent nothing more, measuring the time he had left not in years or months or weeks or days but 182 hours left in office, how to achieve unity basically saying to achieve unity but through actions, the resolution would a comp is not unity but rather a waste of time that fostered further divisiveness and he would vote no.
