PARIS, FRANCE - JAN. 27: French President Emmanuel Macron is set to visit the Louvre Museum on Tuesday, Jan. 28, following warnings from the museum's director, Laurence des Cars, about its deteriorating condition. Des Cars recently sent a letter to Minister of Culture Rachida Dati, urging government intervention to renovate exhibition halls and safeguard the artworks. In her letter, des Cars highlighted critical issues like water leaks, temperature fluctuations, and damage to some rooms that threaten the preservation of the museum's priceless collection. She also criticized the museum's glass pyramid, designed by Chinese-American architect Ieoh Ming Pei, for being excessively hot and noisy during summer.
