CLEAN: French minister 'dumbfounded' by Polanski arrest
French Culture Minister Frederic Mitterrand has condemned the arrest in Switerzland of filmmaker Roman Polanski, who is wanted in the United States on three-decade-old child sex charges. Polanski was arrested late Saturday as he arrived to receive a lifetime achievement award at the Zurich film festival. US authorities have been pursuing the 76-year-old Oscar-winning director of Rosemary's Baby, Chinatown and The Pianist for many years. The Swiss Justice Ministry said it was now waiting for a US extradition request. Pais, France (Footage by AFPTV via Getty Images)
