Forum of Pompeii, Pompei, Pompeji, and the so-called Arch of Germanicus - 4K stock video

Pompeii near Naples, Italy, is an ancient city whose history dates back to the 9th century BC and ended in 79 AD when, following the eruption of Vesuvius, it was covered under a blanket of ash and lapilli. Its rediscovery and subsequent excavations, which began in 1748, brought to light an archaeological site that was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1997. The arch at the north east edge of the Forum of Pompeii replaced the one dedicated to Caligula. It was probably dedicated to Germanicus, but in the past it has also been referred to as Arch of Nero. Real time shot made in 4K/UHD.
