BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS - MAY 27: (INTERVIEW) Former New Zealand Jacinda Ardern speaks about "I think actually, you know, I think when people think about what happened over the course of a very short space of time, you know, I remember, you know, thinking when I came to leave, that I didn't think it would be a surprise to many people. I've said many times I could have kept going and I could have, but the question with me was, could I keep going and do the job well? And I think the moment when you start thinking in your mind that maybe there's a way that you might, no longer have to feel the responsibility to stay, which is really what I think that that sharing that story about that moment when the GP sent me off for a scan. That was a moment where that idea of it's my responsibility to be here. I suddenly had something that allowed me to think about an alternative to that sense of responsibility.
