Former Colombian President Uribe faces charges in final trial session
BOGOTA, COLOMBIA - MAY 8, 2025: Former Colombian President Alvaro Uribe Velez appeared for the final day of his four-day trial in Bogota on Thursday, May 8, facing charges of procedural fraud, witness tampering, and bribery.
In a press briefing following the trial, Uribe said he asked for forgiveness during the hearing.
The hearing marks a critical stage in the case, as Uribe responds to prosecution inquiries and defends himself through his legal team’s line of questioning.
