Congressman Steube hearing exchange with Google executive over YouTube censoring dissenting coronavirus views

Florida Congressman Greg Steube tells Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai by videoconference at a House Judiciary antitrust subcommittee hearing that rioting groups were going unchecked posting what he would contend were violent videos but the day before he was sent to YouTube video about doctors discussing use of hydroxychloroquine and safety of children returning to school, he had clicked on the link but was taken down for violating YouTube community guidelines, asking how doctors given their opinion on a drug that could be effective in treating Covid 19 and doctors who thought it was appropriate for children to return to school violate committee guidelines, Pichai answering there was a lot of debate on YouTube about effective ways to deal with Covid, Google allowed robust debate but during a pandemic looked to local health authorities so for example in the United States it would be the CDC for guidelines around medical misinformation in a never way which could cause harm in the real world.
