Massive fire at paper factory in Türkiye resembles scenes from apocalyptic movies
AYDIN, TÜRKİYE - JULY 14: A fire at a paper factory in Aydin, a province in Türkiye's Aegean region, is being fought with efforts both on the ground and from the air.
The fire, which broke out in the compressed paper storage section of the factory located in the organized industrial zone of the Soke district on the evening of July 12, is still ongoing.
As the fire spread to the second section of the factory, firefighting units and forest teams from 23 provinces were dispatched to assist with the firefighting efforts.
A total of 10 people, including factory workers and firefighters affected by the smoke, were taken to hospitals after the first aid in ambulances.
It was reported that the workers and firefighters are in good health.
As firefighting efforts are still ongoing, the drone footage of the flames has been likened to scenes from an apocalyptic movies.
