18 injured as false alarm causes panic at Barclays Center, New York
NEW YORK, US - MAY 29: A false report of shooting caused panic at Barclays Center on Sunday, leaving more than a dozen people injured.
Fans mistook a loud noise outside the arena for a gun being shot and 18 people got injured after a stampede broke out.
The center had hosted the Gervonta Davis-Rolando Romero boxing match earlier the night for WBA World Lightweight Championship.
According to an NYPD spokesperson, 18 people suffered injuries, and nine were transported to area hospitals after the incident.
