Music: X-Factor contestant Janet Devlin interviewed

Music: X-Factor contestant Janet Devlin interviewed; ENGLAND: London: INT Janet Devlin (X-Factor contestant) interview SOT - Feeling great, on being voted off. Now have the opportunity to do my own thing… / On leaving the competition - I knew from Wednesday that this was the week. It's a feeling most of us get. It's been like a rollercoaster ride… / On forgetting the lines to her song on Saturday night - I hate giving an excuse but I was about to throw up on national television. I was really ill. I'd barely turned up for rehearsals and I was advised not to do the show. But I thought this could be my last chance to perform. / On life after X Factor - It's a chance to work with people I want to and do the music I want to. Nice not to have to worry about doing things that aren't me. / On comments she made about X factor turning her into a karaoke singer - You have to do songs that are famous (on the show). I dont know a lot of pop music. It's not what I have on my Ipod and what I listen to. / Q. But you must have known that that's what the X factor is about….Janet: I know but I wanted to change that. I'm just glad I can do my own thing now. I wouldn't do anything differently / I'm not a puppet. You go out there and you're human and you freak out and panic. I am real. / On the darker side of fame - I dont care. I don't read papers and I don't care what they say. I just get annoyed when they write things and talk about people I like in the house. They have to come up with something and while it wasn't nice they were never horrible about me
