Excitement rises in Istanbul ready ahead of UEFA Champions League final
ISTANBUL, TÃœRKÄ°YE - JUNE 9: Excitement has been rising in Istanbul ahead of the UEFA Champions League final that will take place between Manchester City and Inter at Ataturk Olympic Stadium on Saturday evening (June 10).
In addition to the final, the city has been home to a various events related to the Champions League.
One of these events includes former football players Roberto Carlos and Mario Jardel, together with Fenerbahce forward Michy Batshuayi.
They attended the opening of "Adidas Champions Island" set up by Adidas in the Golden Horn.
On the platform created in the middle of the Golden Horn, the famous players played foot tennis.
The giant-sized Champions League trophy and football placed in Taksim Square have also been the center of attention for football enthusiasts and fans in the city.
Preparations for the much expected final at Atatürk Olympic Stadium have been completed.
