Senator Schumer challenges Bill Burck role in Kavanaugh document production
Esnate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer says the small percentage White House documents on Brett Kavanaugh the Judiciary Committee could see were being pre-screened by political operative Bill Burck, longtime Republican lawyer and former deputy to Kavanaugh, a lawyer for Steve Bannon, Reince Priebus, and White House counsel Don McGahn, since Burck has delivered documents to the Judiciary Committee but refused to provide a privilege log, Schumer questions why some documents were allowed and not others, and believes the Senate was entitled to at least know his reasoning for selective withholding.
