Eric Cantona attacks member of crowd after sending off at Selhurst Park:; ENGLAND: London: INT Alan Mullery (Former England capt) intvw SOT: - it's the worst incident I've ever seen for a professional footballer player to go in to one of the crowd & do that sort of thing - he's got to be banned as faras I'm concerned/ I think he's a genius as a footballer but for what he did last night I've no time for him at all. EXT Pat Crerand (Former Man Utd player) intvw SOT: - he's been kicked from pillar to post since the game started/ he's had no protection off the ref/ I feel he was unfairly sent off INT Tom Pendry, (Chmn, Commons Sports Cttee) intvw SOT - this is so disgraceful/ I think that young players & spectators alike can only have some aversion to the game as a resultof incidents of this kind/ its regrettable because for my money Cantona is the best player in England today EXT Billboard hoarding with Eric Cantona on it
