Entries from famous authors are revealed in the 1921 census
Entries from famous authors are revealed as FindMyPast completes the digitisation of the 1921 Census.
Authors include Lord of the Rings author J. R. R. Tolkien, Tale of Peter Rabbit author Beatrix Potter, Sherlock Holmes author Arthur Conan Doyle, and Winnie the Pooh author A.A. Milne.
On the night the Census was taken Conan Doyle was playing host to a number of mystics and psychics, suggesting he may have been holding a seance at the time.
