Anyone who has got an addict in the family knows how stressful it can be / they're not untreatable and my wife has responded well to hers / I hope she will come out happier person with greater mental health / newspaper coverage hasn't helped / relentless and inaccurate
Life must have been hard though?
addiction is hard and the papers made it worse / it's nobodies business / not in public interest / it took my wife a lot of courage / what justification can there be for publicising that? / Young mother trying to sort her life out, papers know it will hurt her and sell papers with it anyway
You planted a story recently?
I never intended that story to go into a paper / I fed false information to supposed friend of my wife and I he then sold it on to the News of the World / if they had the decency to contact me and see if it was true I'd have told them / still knew who my mole was / papers were not the interest / I rang News of the World when I found out to say it's not true don't print it / the reflects on the supposed friend and the paper
Your life must be difficult surrounded by people they cannot trust?
I have a good core of friends / when people sell stories on you you suspect the innocent and loyal / I had to expose who was doing this / the man I nailed on Sunday was my prime suspect / two others fairly unsuspected / you have to stick with people you really know and trust / you would go completely insane / he wasn't just selling to one paper he was selling to many
