Disabled man from Oman overcomes challenges with extreme adventures

MUSCAT, OMAN - MAY 25: A disabled man from the Muscat province of Oman has crossed boundaries and pushed the limits by diving into deep waters, climbing up high mountains, and exploring shallow caves with a prosthetic leg. Ahmed bin Hamoud al Busaidi who lost his leg in a motorcycle accident, has strongly held on to life through the love of nature and the adrenaline of adventure. His desire for adventure caused him to have an accident nine years ago when he and his friends were getting ready for a diving trip until they realized some missing things had to be bought from the shop. He said that the unfortunate accident injured to him when he was riding the motorbike on his way back. Even though he lives far away from the sea, he has always felt a strong connection to the water. Thanks to this connection and his ambition after the accident, he has explored many caves including Majlis Al Jinn Cave, the largest cave in the Sultanate of Oman, and has reached the summit of Jebel Shams, which is the highest mountain in the country.
