David Cameron attends PM Direct event in Maidenhead; ENGLAND: Berkshire: Maidenhead: INT David Cameron MP (Prime Minister) arriving and into meeting, introduction by Oli Barrett (Co-founder, StartUp Britain) SOT David Cameron MP (Prime Minister) speech SOT - Thank you for introduction, no long speeches from me - want to start year with event about economy, it's going to be a vital year for the British economy, a difficut year for the British economy, squeeze on household budgets, food and fuel prices have risen, difficulties of Eurozone which has cast a freeze across Europe's economy, it's going to be a tough year ... it's a year where government will roll up its sleeves and ask what can we do to help business, help consumers, to help our economy to get economy moving, help provide jobs for young people, there are a lot of small business people in the audience, interested in hearing your points, and your questions, commitment you have from me is that we will try to do everything we can to help small businesses, on tax, cut corporation tax, help on employment, make it easier for you to take people on for apprenticeship schemes, other means, help through regulation ... help with finance, a lot of small businesses have found it difficult to raise finance, really working hard with banks to increase quantity of lending, also through credit easing to intervene directly in the market, increase supply of money for small businesses, all those and more are things we are going to do this year to help get the economy moving ...
