- I am delighted that we have have brought the biggest trade delegation to China. The real enthusiasm I have for this relationship is for three very strong relationships. We look at your incredible economy. You have taken hundrens of milions of people out of poverty. Partners for growth sums up what we believe. We have seen 47 per cent growth in exoports this year. The relationship in terms of trade could be so much better. We are determined to make the most of this potential. Our economies are at such a complimentary stage. This is a great opportunity for Britain for what it excels in to make it in China. China is exporting investment. I want to make sure that Britain is one of the destinations for the capital. We are determined to make this one of the best countries to do business in. The third reason is the arguement that Britain and China share in the world today. We are partners in trade. We will always argue for the further opening of the Chinese economy. In favour of openness, I am not just here in China this week for specific proposals, I am here to make the bigger argument about Britain and China. We will stand for partnership to make sure we have continued growth and prosperity.
