A daring dog was seen jumping into the water to chase after a 12-foot hammerhead shark off the coast of Great Exuma Island in the Bahamas, footage recorded on February 15 shows. Video recorded by crew members aboard a https://www.instagram.com/exumawatersports/ @exumawatersports tour shows a dog, https://www.instagram.com/p/Co2gt3XvEuM/ nicknamed "The Mighty Potcake", jumping into the water just as a 12-foot long hammerhead shark swims by. Rebecca Lightbourn, a representative of Exuma Water Sports, told Storyful that the "domesticated stray" has always been "super friendly," and that he "has always run along the water's edge as our boat goes by, like a dog chasing a car." In the footage, panicked passengers aboard the vessel are heard worrying for the animal, as someone is heard yelling that the dog is attempting to bite the shark.
