Festival Commemorates 400th Anniversary Of Shogun's Passing
TOCHIGI, JAPAN – MAY 17: A commemorative festival featuring Japan's traditional costumes and dances on Sunday May 17 marked the 400th anniversary of the passing of Tokugawa Ieyasu, who founded Tokudgawa Shogunate in 1603 and died in 1616. The ceremony events included butterfly dances by four shrine maidens and performance of yabusame, Japan's traditional technique of shooting arrows on horseback archery.
