Colombian professor builds school for poor children in his hometown
UNGUIA, COLOMBIA - MAY 13,: A Colombian university professor built a school in his hometown Choco, which will educate illiterate people.
After completing his education, professor Paulino Gutierrez returned to his village in Unguia town, located on the Colombian border with Panama.
Along with volunteers Gutierrez established the school for the education of local children.
“The number of students increased... we received help from the related ministry and built two classrooms. One of my friends from abroad helped us to build two more classrooms for 40 students," Gutierrez said.
“We teach in two languages, we explain in Spanish and translate in Kuna [local language] so that they learn both languages and improve in both languages," he added.(Footage by Juan David Moreno Gallego/Anadolu Agency via Getty Images)
