Clarence “Gatemouth” Brown and the Bluebeats perform instrumental (live) with Frank Howard and the Commanders and young adult African-American female dancers. “Gatemouth” Brown does the duck walk. Host Bill “Hoss” Allen closes show, comments that he is losing his voice. Allen invites Etta James, Esther Phillips, Lattimore Brown, and Roscoe Shelton onto set, each performer taking a turn singing Ray Charles’ “What’d I Say” (live) backed by “Gatemouth” Brown and the Bluebeats.
