Christmas Tree Worms (Spirobranchus giganteus) on underwater coral reef - 4K stock video

Numerous Christmas Tree Worms (Spirobranchus giganteus) are attached to an underwater coral reef, also known as Spiral Gilled Tube worm. These are living organisms that filter plankton from the water to feed on, as seen here. They are highly sensitive to water movement and recoil entirely if the pressure changes around them. Their resemblance to the festive Christmas trees give them their name. Footage taken whilst scuba diving at Ko Rok, Krabi Province, which is one of Thailand’s top snorkel destinations.
