North Korean Envoy Meets Chinese Leader Xi, Shows Positive Stance Toward 6-Party Talks

PYONGYANG, NORTH KOREA - MAY 24: Choe Ryong Hae, director of the General Political Bureau of the Korean People's Army who visited China as an envoy of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, met with Chinese President Xi Jinping. In response to Xi's request for resumption of the stalled six-party talks on North Korea's nuclear programs, Choe said North Korea wants to make efforts together with other countries involved and resolve related issues in an appropriate manner through dialogue and discussions of various formats including the six-party talks. Choe returned to North Korea on a special plane, according to the Korean Central News Agency.
