Ice Dome - Unthinkable But Best Place For Brewing Sake
HOKKAIDO, JAPAN - FEB. 5: Chilly ice dome is a most unthinkable but actually one of best places
to use for part of Japanese sake brewing, according to a local brewery here in the heart of Japan's cool northernmost main island. Brewery Takasago Shuzo says the minus-two-degrees centigrade, ninety-percent humid conditions inside the dome offer a good environment to keep the taste and flavor of sake, as well as keeping it clean. On Thursday February 5 the company revealed the 2.5-meter high dome with the diameter of 4 meters made with a huge balloon to show the process of squeezing. After filtering, the final process later, the sake will go on sale with the Ichiya Shizuku - One Night Drop - brand.
