Clive Thorburn scoring 147 in Embassy World Snooker Championship; 1983
Canadian Snooker Player, Clive Thorburn, scores the highest century break, scoring 147 in the second round match against Terry Griffiths. Thorburn is seen aiming for each coloured ball, and potting them one after another. Commentator, Jack Karnehm is heard saying "Good luck mate" just before Thorburn takes his shot at the black ball. When he pots it, and wins, Thorburn drops to his knees in joy, and is congratulated, as the audience give him a standing ovation. The World Snooker Championship is a professional snooker tournament and the game's official world championship.
