California Congresswoman Barbara Lee says at a press conference to urge action to stop Azerbaijan's continued blockade of Artsakh that the area was enduring major and growing humanitarian crisis caused by Azerbaijan's illegal mining illegal blockade of the lodging, corridor, Artsakh's only humanitarian lifeline to Armenia, crediting those who put the language into the fiscal 23 Omnibus Funding bill to ensure a comprehensive strategy to address the humanitarian needs of the Armenian people, able to secure 60 million dollars for Armenia to support economic development, energy independence and democracy and a requirement that the Appropriations Committee was consulted by the Secretary of State prior to delivering security assistance for Armenia and Azerbaijan.
