"The 3 heads of Charles the first it was made for Charles I to send to Rome, he wanted to have a marble bust made by Bernini the sculptor who could not come to England -he asked for 3 heads for the 3 dimensional bust: which was also destroyed in the fire of Whitehall.
CS: SOF: (What should we look out for?) The Vermeer, "The Music Lesson" it is the most beautiful example of Dutch interior with the subtle light in the windows, anywhere. (Which painting has Royal Connections?) The series of Gainsborough portraits made for George III and Queen Charlotte with all the children, painted in single ovals and we have the letter to the R.A., saying that they were exhibited as one, crowded together in very light frames.
