People smuggler with 40 aliases caught in high-speed Border Force operation

Border Force senior officer Andy Vidamour and NCA regional head of investigation, Shane Williams, speaking about Charles Lynch was jailed for people smuggling after 28 years on the run. Lynch was stopped in a dramatic high-speed pursuit by Border Force vessels off the south coast. The 64-year-old had sailed his 46ft motor cruiser Saquerlotte III across from France in a bid to bring eight Albanian migrants illegally into the UK on the night of November 6 2019.
