Q: WHAT'S THE THINKING BEHIND THE MAP
- Well it's Black History month; one of the opportunities provided by Black History month is for us to educate ourselves about the role played by black Londoners and black Britons over many years / one of the great things about the map is it shows from the Roman times the intrinsic role black people have played in our society
Q: SOME QUITE INTERESTING NAMES ON THERE
- One of the things I was struck by was they've chosen to have people on there who have passed away / the obvious people we know, but there are some great stories; I remember Justin Fashanu scored a great goal for Norwich against Liverpool, but he was an LGBT activist / I also discovered the first female sailor pretended to be a bloke to get on the ship to serve in the merchant navy / great stories there, people can see the names, their own station and do some research
Q: ARE YOU SURPRISED STEPHEN LAWRENCE'S NAME ISN'T ON IT
- Well I think one of the things the Black Cultural Archives have tried to do is reference different parts of London / there's going to be a new version next year when the Elizabeth Line station opens, watch this space

- Well we know over the last 18 months we've lost many lives and people have lost their livelihoods, there are still families grieving today in London / I'm afraid this report today confirms what many of us have suspected; the government's failures have led to the numbers of deaths being far worse than they should have been / but also those on the front line not having the equipment they need / I remember the first time I was told by the PM back in March 2020 just how bad things were I immediately asked for a lockdown / ...
