New captain for Davis Cup champion Spain takes ove
Barcelona, 28 Dec (EFE).- The new captain of Spain's Davis Cup team, Alex Corretja, told a press conference today that coaching the national squad had been the last remaining challenge for him in professional tennis. Defending champions Spain hired the two-time French Open finalist on Tuesday with a two-year contract. Stars Rafa Nadal and David Ferrer have said they are going to skip the 2012 Davis Cup, but Corretja said he is going to confirm with them personally.
