Diver Rescues Baby Shark Left to Die on Pier in Victoria
A baby Port Jackson shark was left to die on a pier in Victoria's Mornington Peninsula, on May 17, after a fisherman caught and discarded it. Luckily, local diver Jules Casey saw the incident and rushed over to free the little shark. This video shared to Instagram, shows the moment Casey rescued it, dropping the shark back into the ocean where it could be seen swimming away. "A fishermen caught her and removed the hook but left her on the pier. I don't know why he didn't put her back in the water," Casey said. (Footage by Jules Casey/Storyful via Getty Images)
