Austin Police Chief Robert Miles says Whitman left a letter on the bed

INT MS Austin Police Chief Robert Miles comments on how Charles Whitman killed his mother and wife. Robert Miles says, "There was a letter that he left on the bed where his wife was killed. I am sure you all know that his wife was stabbed and his mother was shot. And he left a letter on the dresser at his mothers that says he killed his mother." At the University of Texas, Charles Whitman a student and former marine, had dysfunctional family issues since his parents recently filed for divorce, and his father wanting nothing but perfection from his family. He killed both his mother and wife at their homes before going to the University of Texas Tower, where he killed people in the tower and sniped people out of the tower. He was later killed by Police Officer Houston McCoy, and said a tumor was found in his brain once the autopsy was completed. It was said this could of led him to not be able to control his emotions and caused him to do what he did.
